Hi all
Had a guy ask me to swap his cluster as one was faulty (dead needles etc) both part number are the same so bought this
New Virgin T6 ID48 Transponder Chip for VW Skoda Seat Audi | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170895883407?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)
but dont seem to want to code in is it the wrong glass chip for it as have seen some ind48 then some say T6,TP26 etc

Sorry its a Skoda Octavia (2000)

You probably have the right chip, it's a standard ID48 TP6 on that age but it wouldn't matter if you used the Can version, the car would ignore that part.
Before 2000 it should be an ID13 chip, check the age of the cluster.

When he have old keys then you can adapt it just again to new clusters.

he has one old key and can adapt and starts but turn off and 5 min later wont start is this because needs new chip?
old key from old dash but above is what it does with old key when trying to add to new dash

With what tool is key adapted? After adaptation immo light goes off or state solid?

i would guess the car starts as you have entered the skc code however it has no programmed the key so after 5 mins or so the immo system locks again. watch the immo light as you cycle the key during programming it should go out ... this means the key has been programmed if it flashes it didnt like that transponder so the key has not been programmed

Swapped eeproms in the end to get around it
