Hi!

I have a Fiat Stilo 2005, 1.9 Multijet engine with damaged EDC16C8 ECU. I bought identical used EDC16C8 from the same car and put it in my car just to check if everything is OK. Diagnostic showed only immobiliser fault code and nothing else (like it should be). So, I swapped EEPROM from old (damaged) ECU to the new one and the car starts and runs fine, but I get P0601 internal EEPROM error (checksum?). So I tried two different virgin files (attached below), but I always get P0601. Do I have wrong virgin files? Could somebody help me? Thanks!

Yes. I have manual solution for reprogramming immobiliser without wrong coding and any problems. I need original eeprom from second hand ecu.

I already solved the problem. I soldered back the EEPROM from original ecu to the used ecu and PRESTO! - I could delete the P0601 and it hasn't returned since.

Thank you very much anyway!
