Hello, my aunt need a new car. Which of these two is the most reliable?
Chevrolet Spark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Spark)

Renault Twingo II (http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Twingo_II#Twingo_II_.282007.E2.80.93presen t.29)

Price and dimensions are nearly equal.
Thank you.

I concur donkeys is the best your aunt will find it does more miles to a mouthful of grass and flowers also fertilise everything in sight
the other two can't even make a decent skid mark on a lawn!
A donkey never breaks down however it doesn't always go?

I suppose a twingo would never fart in your face but I would still go for the donkey...

jcg look at this farting reno (not a twingo II) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ehf8MjnaRg)

Donkey is slim and fit perfectly in narrow park spaces.
Donkey is euro infinite

Reno and Rolet are not that easy to park in narrow spaces.
Reno and Rolet are euro 5

Donkey +2
Reno and Rolet 0

Realized if I call'em Twin and Spark then come out Twin Spark tonight I'll have nightmare.

---Toyoda chapter:
Yaris is out of specs for price and excessive width, I_go is out of specs for width.
Can't remember if is Pug or Citro or I_go that suffer for head problem. Or was it head gasket? Can't remeber: too much cars with too much fault out there and brain memory can't even store another single one.

cactikid

yes pug and citro suffer from head gasket oil leakage at tb

alessioblaupunkt

Wait maca, following the saturday night chat, why do we need to buy cars if the only thing we need is dash.
Give me 308 dash I'll give her a 308 and f*ck if that will not enter in the garage.
Got a car at the price of a dash request = 0?

She's going to use her 1996 mk4 Fiesta untill November, then she will decide what to do.
The problem is the Fiesta mk4 is euro 2 and she need at least an euro 4.

Meat-Head

I guess she likes to crash into similar cars then lol.

Ncap ratings ain't worth $hit.
Emission legislations are a joke that kill engines.

Go with the donkey.

I just picked up a Focus C-MAX (Petrol with LPG conversion). It's slower than a special needs substitute teacher, yet I still get held up by Cumquat & Juke drivers. And it's returning 42mpg when compared to petrol & 52mpg against dirty diesel.
Cut my fuel costs down to about 1/3 of what I was spending with my old beast.

Had to reuse this thread for a friend:
Please suggest between these two
Renault Captur (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Captur)

VW Up! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Up)

Or suggest other with the same price.
Specs:
Only new car.
Only petrol engine.
Only small engine (below 1600).
Manual Gearbox.
No dimension problem.

Does the 3 cyl 1.0 up! acquire the same fault as 3 cyl 1.2? (Coil pack/head gasket/timing chain)
Or is it a completely different engine?

What about the Captur turbo engine?

Time to update: she found a Fiat Panda 1.2 petrol 2yrs very low mileage affordable price
the only thing is the car will not enter in the garage but she don't care.
She's going to buy it in a few days/week.
Previous lady sell this cause recently affected with a rare desease:
loss of short term memory and actually there isn't a cure.
No memory means no drive, no drive means unnecessary car

Resume also reply #32: between Captur and Up! my friend bought a C3 1.0 petrol about 6 months ago.

GastonJ

Short term memory loss? I thought that only affected people who's turn it was to buy a round at the bar 30 seconds after they have borrowed some money off you? :D

Yes Gas, very rare desease.
If I apply that desease to me: can't log in dk cause:
What's my username?
What's my password?
What's my email?
Where's the sheet with site name/username/password?
Who's GastonJ? Do I know you?

Tomorrow morning it will be the last travel for the little Fiesta.
It served well but my aunt live in a town where Euro1/2 car can't circulate anymore.

Thread recycle #3:
Father's friend asked between Captur and Up!, then he choose a C3 1.0.

Now the same father's friend want to move from his current 2002 Sitro Xsara 1.4 converted
to LPG to a new Ren? Captur 1.0 turbo petrol then he'll convert it to LPG again. :beheaded:

Can anyone stalk as more as you can about Captur 1.0 TCE?
Post please.

Thank you/ Dankeee / Grazie / No tiengo el sonido / El mismo sol.

Turbo oh LPG not sure do some googling. Blow holes in piston ?

alessioblaupunkt
10th August, 2015, 01:40 PM
The LPG conversion is at its own risk, so isn't my fault if he makes holes
in piston(s).

Problem is he keep asking me about Captur fault.
I proudly know zero about those.
And out there I can see some with ugly dark grey color but with 'telligent Dci engine.
Also I think there are no Captur out of Italy cause car manufacturer understood this
kind of car have market only in Italy.

Personnaly I hate SUV/miniSUV/microSUV. Try to push one by hand. So heavy. Micromachine engine.
Can't load nothing.
Buy a Ducato it's more 'telligent and you can load.
Buy VW T3 if you like it. Live into it. Go in the desert. Go in the mountain.
It can do a corner, it can takes curve and roundabout.
Better if other cars do not crash into it.

The black Panda is running fine since purchase.

And he said the engine does 15km/l
