Bmw x3 , with cas 4 (cg) white box no keys.
Have any one done one of these. Any help will do please.

Nop, but i understand its an eeprom jobbie and only certain cpu masks are supported.

There's alot of these CAS units on ebay so if goes wrong i assume can fix like CAS3. assume is the word cos its all info i've read from others here

Balls of steel to mess with cas4.
The top mcu readers still kill 1 out if 10.

I will try if all keys are lost, if CAS killed, no one will notice lol lol

you need to heat up the chip before you read from what I understrand

But won't customer find out once key from BMW arrives and car is dead !!


How about CAS3 / CAS3+ my Fallen friend ???
Risk of these being killed ??? Is it on removing protection

Lots of old CAS units on ebay..........

It is easy.Post picture of MCU from CAS4.Also do you have equipment to read MCU and equipment to prepare key for F series?
P.S. Erased CAS4 you can repair only with new from dealer VIN ordered.

Have a look in dashboard section before you read it. 5M48H may cause you dramas you don't need. Early CAS4 should be ok if your skills are good.

The old cas4 1L15y can do , with R270.
Yes , this is the 5m48h new speck 2012 x3,

you have to remove a few parts from unit - heat it up to 50degreed and read with a programmer like Jtag. dont think r270 can read it. i would like to give it a go and read with no "repurcussions" for me - so i read at your risk...you can send it to me - : )

Can you fit an old cas4 1L15y unit in the wreaked new CAS4 5m48h unit ???
