can any one help or point in the right direction on how to streame to the net and watch the dbox from any other pc from around the world

tryed but failed.

is there a similarity between the drweambox and dbox

i say this because i have seen the drambox streaming tutorial

You'd need one helluva long crossover cable to watch the dbox from "any other pc from around the world" heh-heh. ;)

I haven't done this in a long time so dunno if things have changed but you need VLC for a kick-off.

Don't think you'll need VLC but you will need something like a Slingbox

They sell for over ?100 so a bit steep if you just want to watch Corry and Eastenders when your on your hols

It can be done if you have a machine on the same network as the dbox which runs either SSH or Linux (which is SSH native)

you can connect to the machine and use it as a proxy, allowing you to view the TV, however, by default you need a LOT of bandwidth. It'd probably be unfeasable on a home type connection, but in theory it's a piece of p*ss
