Hi mates I have a problem, car is a citroen xsara picasso 1.6 hdi 9HY engine and the original ecu is damaged (burned). The original ref. is 0281011233 its a edc16c3 ecu.
Whe haven't founded the original ecu becouse there are few ecus like this, and we have mounted a ecu from other citroen xsara picasso same engine 1.6 hdi ref.0281011802 it's edc16c34 and try to another ecu by a citroen C4 ref.0281011629.
We tried with this two ecus but is the same result, the main and unique problem is that the car start bad and difficult only 2 seconds and engine cut off becouse has got an excessive rail pressure on ramp.
The engine fault code is P1166.Excessive rail pressure. (1800bar at start)
I saw in forum 2 posts by this mates that they solved the problem changing the software of the ecu but they didn't say how to resolved and wich software have writed.
I know that the rail pressure regulator it's different between same engines but i don't know wich it's the regulator for the software of new ecu.
I try to sent MP to them but I can't communicate.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks a lot and regards
