Read sec block from the old one, and program to the new one. Or program it with vcds if u known pins.

Is it immo 3

most important question - is it octavia mk1 or mk2. as 2008 can be both.
if its mk2 forget about doing that via vcds. vcds does not support immo5.
Kris if you have smok x-can you should know clocks would be on micronas and its not possible to write SB into new clocks unless you read (eeprom) s-key from new micronas. then you can wake up clocks with s-key and write SB into new clocks.

Cant really tell about mk1 or 2 but getting car tomorrow . Wanted a guideline in both cases as I've got vcds and avdi .i believe avdi can adapt them, it just the matter of learning for me as I'm new to this clock

Thanks robert

Hi.
yes sure %100 can done by avdi.
1) is the new used dash same all part numbers like the original?
2) can you inter by obd2 with avdi or with vcds to the original dash ?.or the original dash dead at all?.
3) if the original dash dead,so after u must with adapt add a new key to the new used dash.
4) let us know about above questions to tell u how is done step by step or the right adaptation.
PS:connect your avdi and in special function go to (can instrument) and get us screen photo,& load it here to know the right procedure of dash adaptation.

Hi, I did the dash swap today read cluster and transfer data from old to new everything went ok. Later steering and traction lights came on. steering angle sensor missing adaptation. Which i did with the driving sequence but couldn't get rid the traction with tyre warning light!

Does anyone know how to solve this issue i did the adaptation on sensor with vas but comes up with faults shown below

Hi,
1) good to Listen it done.
2) by vas must done %100 the basic setting for G85,must drive the car 1 minute and after stop the car turn steering wheel to left side at all and after right side after to the middle position the wheels.& leave engine run don't turn of engine and let your vas do the procedure after must all ok.

yesterday this procedure was a right one, finally gave up and let the customer go. why does the car lose abs coding whilst coding vag clusters and then these lights start dancing on dash. is there a way to stop abs losing this data?

thanks

Hi,
1) yes is there a way to do this job,for that i tell you in my post above let us know ( in #9)
2) normally on this cars i disconnect abs connector, or i do it this procedure on the bench without close avdi software after when begin try work on this dashes.
