Hi!
Got a Mercedes 2003 with ECU ME2.0
Car gave erors on missfire, but I did fix so that it give NO DTCs now. All DTC where deactivated.
Problem is that car stills go into Limp Mode (Safe Mode), but ofcourse no DTCs up.
Anyone that can help me to deactivate the Limp Mode (Sfae Mode) on this car, just so the car behaves normal.
Attached is original file and file with no dtc?s.
Thx!

Did you also fix the reason for the misfires?
When no, you are very, very lucky that the car stil goes into limp mode.
Misfires can damage valves and catalyst.

normally you have to get some DTC in ecu to put car in too limp mode.try to use different diagnostic tester.if there is no dtc in ecu there will be no limp mode.

I allready feel sorry for the next owner of this troubled car.
All kinds of problems, but no DTC's present. And of course this current owner will say he never had problems and never chamged anything to the map.
I just wonder how long it will take, before a new owner complains here about his car, the dealer and Mercedes, because the bloody thing is driving bad, there's a burnt valve in it, the catalyst isn't working anymore, but there are no DTC's present so the fault cannot be found.

Just curious, how much will you charge this customer for your services?
And how much will you charge the new owner to repair the misfiring problem on his car?

First you disable all DTC then asking us to help you. Mate ... DTC will tell you why go to limp mode jesus .... You erase dtc's and expect from us to tell you why this car goes to limp. This is not good mate ... Enable dtc's back and see what is the problem ...

And who will pay for the damage done to the engine when it blows?
In my country you can be liable for all costs, as the judges rule that you (as a professional) should have known better than to disable DTC's without any repairs.
I am still curious, how much will you charge this customer for your services?
And how much will you charge the new owner to repair the misfiring problem on his car?

Really? In most countries fraud is against the law.
Have you got an idea how much will you charge this customer for your services?
And how much you will charge the new owner to repair the misfiring problem on his car?
