Here's my situation:

I got a Peugeot 207SW (my 2007) with 3-button remote key. The remote locking stopped working, but since the fob is transmitting signal OK (checked with radio fob tool), I believe something is wrong with the BSI.

Now I got BSI from Peugeot 308 (my 2007, scrapyard) and its remote key (2-button). Is is possible to virginise BSI, program it with Diagbox and use P308's 2-button remote?

I tried procedure ignition ON, hold lock button for 20 sec, ignition OFF. Not working. I also tried BSI reset procedure. Not working.

I think it might be possible, if the plugs are same.

The plugs are the same, since the BSI is the same.

The question is - can I use the keys, already paired to the P308's BSI, with the P207 ECU?

try thy resynch procedure , then put key into ignition but do not turn ignition on , now try remote , i have had many of these that work in ignition but as soon as removed dont work at all yet are transmitting , it has always been a remote issue in this case.

it also wouldnt be first time a customer had had remotes apart and put wrong chip in wrong remote , or have you seen it working ?
if you havnt seen it working it could well be a chip issue , or even the wrong remote , customers dont always tell the truth.

No it has to be new remote a preprogrammed 2nd hand one is no good , it must also be the correct remote for the 2007 peugeot 207 SW as a different remote to the 207 remote , the one you need is

sticker number : 643530 ED21 JCAE

part number :6490CS (uncut) or 6490CT (cut)

the 207 on that year uses different remotes for 207 , 207 cc and 207 SW so its essential to have correct one.

OK, I see ... but if I use 308 BSI and 308 remotes (as they are already paired), it should work?

Also interesting is that there is no configuration in BSI to select between different types of remotes. I once did Citroen C4 (2004) and there were 2 options for different types of remotes ... but here, on 207, there are no options this!

3d group , hickleys , advanced keys or northwest keys in uk , any main dealer i imagine can also supply the correct remote .

the 308 remote shouldnt work as a different remote , the 308 and the 207 use the same remote but the 207 SW uses a different remote .

Thanks!

So the AKK327 should be OK? https://www.hickleys.com/diagnostics/keys_list.php?cat=102&manu=28

Can I code it just using PIN and Diagbox/PP2000, or do I need any extra tool?

that should do fine and PP should code it no issues if you have pin

Thank you very much for all the information. I am newbie in locksmith stuff, so I don't know how things work, since there are big differences between brands etc ... I thought it also need some pre-programming with ZedBull or something like that.

I will let you know the outcome.
