Hello all,
I need some guidance please, Im looking to buy a genuine VAS5054A interface, but my questions relate to the software.
VAS-PC i believe is soon to be superseded by ODIS, does anyone have good experience with this?
-What is the latest versions of VAS-PC base and vehicle data??
-If you have ODIS instead, do you still need VAS-PC to work on the earlier stuff or does ODIS cover it all?
-I have a version V19 currently, but with that version i have some DVD's that are for flash data? When and how do you need this???

Im not a newb but just want to know more......

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Too many questions and not enough details:

1. Why do you want/need a genuine head? What are you looking to do? Do you already have a clone head?
2. Vas-PC is no longer updated, from April it will no longer be supported , regarding latests versions simply type VAS-PC into google and review the results
3. Those who are familiar with VAS will still use it, but for new vehicles that are not available on VAS then ODIS must be used, in april ODIS will be win7 64bit only (some say it must also be a VAG edition of Win7 as well), however this will only affect users if they have a working copy of the new version so for most they will stay on older version and be happy, existing genuine VAS owners will be sent a special XP>Win7 update disc from VAG.
4. About the flash discs I dont have much experience sorry can't help much there.
