Acc to book procedure, u follow the same method like holding unlock button and pressing three times lock button
But i have noticed this wont work with IR remotes. I have tried on atleast 50 cars, but it never works

BMW Control Programming
Close all doors, turn on and off the key without starting
Tighten the unlock button for 10 seconds, hold on tight
Tighten the central locking button 3 times, will make the locking of doors
ready
Sorry my English

i tried the above method many times and got fed up... i know this question is silly, but honestly i have experienced this problem only on bmw cars with IR remotes
The reason me being desperate now is that i tried to program a remote on a customers car, but i managed to erase this working remotes as well. i tried the sync process again and again but no success

I've never worked with these IR remotes (don't have them in Canada) but I had a mid 90s audi and it turned out the IR signal was weak. If you haven't already, take a look at the signal through a digital camera to see if the light is bright.
