Hello, I have a tomtom one V3 with 512 meg internal. I know it is the lowest of tomtoms. But I have managed to put the 8.302 navcore and v8 maps. I now get lane guidance and IQ routes.
It took me hours to learn how to do it, but one you know it is easy....

1) Make a copy of all the files of your device
2) download a new navcore. (search for "SE navcore 8.302")
3) download a set of maps. (it has to be compatible with you Navcore - see compatibily tables on other posts)
4) Now you need to save all the files onto your tomtom device.
5) before you can use your tomtom you need to crack it. (I use Albert Easy Activator) very easy to use plus loads of step by step guides on the web.
6) Now you are done. you can then use TomtomHOME to add any voices, POI's, etcs

It might sound duanting but the benefits are good.
