All of a sudden every channel says invalid program, search again or No Signal

I have been using sattv5 for months! It used to work wonders, same happens with AJs list, but works if I manually scan the channels

All the antenna settings are normal, checked with someone elses box

How do i fix this problem?

Not sure if I understand the problem correctly.

Are you saying that you get "no signal" on all channels when using a channel list, but the box works OK when you do a scan?

Weird one only thing I can think of is Image is corrupted try doing a Dump of Image, Factory Reset and reload Image see if that cures after that haven't a clue.

So, I wonder what the difference is between using a preset channel list & scanning yourself?

Using AJ's latest list (28/2/14), the parameters for GOLD are:-

Transponder:- 11817/V/27500
PID:- SID=1968, PID=0106, VPID=0917

If you compare the parameters for GOLD when using a channel list, to when you do your own scan, are they the same?

I dont have gold do you have another channel to compare?

Hi. Why dont you ignore other people's channel lists and try and do a blind scan(if your box has this facility) and see what results you get. If you still get problems then your box/firmware may be corrupt. I have seen similar problems on TM5400 boxes.

Regards.

So when you do a blind scan, you are obviously not receiving all the channels.

How about Universal HD:-

TP = 12382/H/29500
PID:- SID=0F28, PID=0103, VPID=0203

If you don't pick up this channel either, then perhaps you could suggest one.

@Nutsandbolts...freakazoid789 confirmed earlier that he gets channels when he does a scan, although it now seems as though he is not picking up all channels, as he said that he's not got GOLD.

I just wanted to compare the info from a channel that does work when he does a scan, compared to the info from AJ's channel list. It might give us a clue as to what the problem is.

Universal HD

12383/v/29498

PID - SID=0F28, PID=0103, VPID=0203

This is so weird!!

yours is 12382 and mine is 12383

I'ts not unusual for the frequency to be out by +/- 1MHz, but what is unusual is that yours shows as vertical polarisation when it should be horizontal!

I know you said earlier that you checked the antenna setup, but can you confirm it is set to Universal (9750-10600)? Although I don't know why this should change the polarity???

Do you have any other boxes connected at the same time to the same dish?

confused as to why it suddenly stopped working on the regular frequencies and all my channel lists unreadable

all i did to get my channels back on was to
1.use null modem cable
2.go to skybox.cc
3.download firmware for skybox f3
hey presto all channels came back on
i then deleted channels dun a factory reset then
4.using null modem cable downlloaded skybox f5s firmware and loaded everthing else as well worked a treat for me
hope this works mate as it took me a week to suss it out
