I jailbroke my ipad to run xbmc on it which works well, but I couldn't find anything else worth putting on it.

You couldn't find anything else. Have you looked at the sticky"first time jailbreak what now"?
Moviebox, musicbox, barrel,winter board, appaddict are all basics of jail breaking.
