I had trouble with 2 motorola MCUs and still can't read them. Even with external power, in circuit, and desoldered. 1 was 68HC908AS60. Other 1 was Qqau0337 1k82h (probably 68hc11e20 or e9).

Please note the external supply is now 7-9V/0.5A. Not 12v like the old one. It's uncommon to have a 8v supply.

You should use Rasfor to read CAS4. It's the right tool for the job.

Yes. You can read CAS4 XDP512 MCU with original ROSFAR. I tested it and work OK. I have special connection for CAS4 (no need lift pins).

XDP512 (1L15Y) is not problem to read, problem is XEP1000 (5M48H and 1N35H)

Concerning the 9s12h128 buffer on the UUSP-S. Here is the answer from the person who makes the programmer. Arthur.
According 9s12H128 datasheet
EEPROM size is 2KB (0-7ff)
But It may have a specific device with a 4KB eeprom
In this case for reading/programming 9s12h256 can be selected

Hi friends,
I've tested my new Upa on 93c56 memory (by points) and everything worked fine. Than I went for the serious business - MAC7242. I've connected every cable according to Carprotool and Xprog images. I've checked it also with diagrams in UPA, but I can't read it. Upa shows the Jtag ID but read only 000000 for shadow and flash. I still have to try lifting some legs of MAC7242 but maybe someone can give me hand here to avoid it.

Maybe the SRS unit has to be powered to read it (there is a connection on Codecard site)?

I think I managed to solve the problem. As I have used earlier version of UPA on my PC drivers for the UUSP-S were automaticilly copied. I went to control panel/system/device manager and manually picked the new drivers destination and updated them. Then after rebooting my pc I managed to read the MAC7242 without a problem.

So for those who use old version of UPA remember to update your drivers!!!

As I already mentioned I didn't have problem with soldering to proper pcb test points, I had problems with reading the MAC. The problem was solved and it was connected with updating drivers for new UPA.

As for the pinout images all are the same and they are equal. So you can use carprotool, xprog, smok or penko images as for pinouts. I know it's easy to do find it yourself but its better to use ready solutions.

Fot those who want to program the MAC7242 with UUSP-S here is a short list what to do.
1. Read original Shadow Block
2. Read original Flash Main Array
3. Chip erase
4. Program modified Flash Main Array
5. Program with original Shadow Block

The third step is very important. If you don't do it you want be able to program it fully. Programming will stop at some moment.

Had a play with the ISP reading ability's today.
Failed on chips that the old one also failed on, does not seem any better or worse than original UPA.

There is no need for the XCLK to be connected. It works perfectly and very quickly with only the above 5 wires (4,5,6,7,9) connected but wire 4 must have the 100 nF capacitor connected. Arthur.

wire 4 goes to the extal (pin 46) or (the same point as the white coax Rosfar 260 PDF) but I have never tried a cas2 with UUSP-S. You will also need a 100nf capacitor on that line? Arthur.

I today try read MC68HC05B06 PLCC52 ISP. Usually with the old version I read without problem.
But now with new UPA-S I have 997 system error.
And HW test is completly failed.
Try change two USB cables, change power supply from USB to External power.

When I try read secured V850 NEC I have only security message.
But now I have this message.

Xprog is risky on cas units, use r260 quick and save and calculation what do you need more and that for about 100 USD.

I have tried with old clone but just get 256 bytes repeated across the 60kb.

Hi all again, in several times I try to read CAS2, whithout success, it say reading sec and at the end say error, I am using R260 conexion and use capacitor in pin4 to the xtal and without capacitor exactelly the same, I am using Penco's script for 9s12sec but never read.
Does someone have a similar problem like this, I am really worry about it because I think this upa is a powerfull tool but since I bought it I could not read a cas, in all the times I have to do a cas I had have to use R260 or xprog.

I never used r260, i used r270 and ak500 and xprog.

The pin that goes on the opposite site of the mcu. No need to connect it with upa, just short it to ground (upa pin 5)

How did it go? Did you manage to read the Cas2? I get only error when trying to read. Not very impressed so far...my china clone r270 reads cas2 no problem...but the UPA just throws errors. Or maybe I am just stupid...should the scripts be loaded when you start the software? Nothing is loaded at startup...and if I try to open a script, nothing happens...

Edit: Okay, the stupid theory matched perfectly! I had a bad solder point, script is working fine and I have read the CAS2 fine now :)

There is no plugin, its a regular UPA-S with scripts made to unlock the 9s12.

Penko made the scripts but there is no guatantee that they work 100% and wont damage anything, wich should be the reason why he is not giving them officially.

I tested some eis with 9s12 and cas modules, for me it worked. But failed sometimes to read flash

If you want the script send me a pm with your mail ill send it no problem.

I try this connections in my rar picture with all the informations I gather from DK & use it to cross reference.
No luck with reading Infineon xc2336B-40F with UPA-s.
1st I read it with diagram provided by ELRAsoft - read successful but read complete in within 2 seconds & with no data.
2nd I read it with 4 points shorted - same as 1st
3rd I read it with 5points connected to P4 - same as 1st
4th I read it with 5points connected to point P4 but P4 not connected - same as 1st
all the above I read it with external 12vdc power connected as shown in my rar picture.
If I read it again with the same connections, it will not be successful but error says- system error:0 - twice
The xc2336B is in the 14 Nissan sentra airbag module .
I ran out of ways to try.

I try this connections in my rar picture with all the informations I gather from DK & use it to cross reference.
No luck with reading Infineon xc2336B-40F with UPA-s.
1st I read it with diagram provided by ELRAsoft - read successful but read complete in within 2 seconds & with no data.
2nd I read it with 4 points shorted - same as 1st
3rd I read it with 5points connected to P4 - same as 1st
4th I read it with 5points connected to point P4 but P4 not connected - same as 1st
all the above I read it with external 12vdc power connected as shown in my rar picture.
If I read it again with the same connections, it will not be successful but error says- system error:0 - twice
The xc2336B is in the 14 Nissan sentra airbag module .
I ran out of ways to try.
Anyone can tell me what else I should try, thanks!
Still same problem i have i tried a lot of connections but no luck it says still some error i have Suzuki baleno airbag and jaguar airbag but I can't read these mcus

UUSP-s is very good programmer I have never had problems with it. It always read write what have on supported list.

Bro great, u saved me thanks a lot in jaguvar it reads very well without any problem. the problem is in connection only, ur connection perfect, Crash data stored in flash 0, flash 1 of flash 3?

for xc2336b-40f, without shorting point. The shorting points are all 5vdc. instead of shorting
I connect P9(5vdc). reading & verify success but in lightning fast like I mentioned before done in
within 2 seconds & without data.. see my rar pictures

Hi, Did you check conections on upa menu to see if the voltage is correct, try using external power.

Try to change the usb cable... i had issues once but in my case it didnt passed the hw test

If the self test is all good and you use only one cable, it would suggest either a faulty cable or 9pin dsub on the UUSP-S or UPA. Check the soldering for dry joints on the unit and check the cable for soldering and continuity. Arthur

I replaced the cable, replace the adapters, soldering contacts, loaded software on another computer, try konect directly with wires, no difference

You can buy programmer device from Penko but Penko don't sell adapters and cables.You have to buy them somewhere else or make it by yourself.
