I have a Toyota vitz 2012 smart key lost keys, this only has smart ECU 89990-52260 somebody before tried to start car but unsuccessful I tried to reset by obd2 but unsuccessful, tried reseting with AVDI by dump but when I am trying to register smart key a small beep sound the immo light stayed on but unsuccessful register. I think that dump is corrupted. I tried with another same car dump but the same result unsuccesful.

hope you can glow a bit of light on this one as i dont have much experience with toyota smart keys (even i read this thread form post no1)
toyota IQ 2012/13 lost keys
from what i have read in this thread - you can add used smart to start (via smart box) or add used key to do all (via smart and IDcode)
can you please confirm its possible for IQ as i havent seen anyone requesting this specific model.
question no2 - when car up and running (via used key and smart box) can dealer add new key via obd? i dont have techstream and i doubt mvp pro will manage.

i ask before i go to see the car as its 160 km away. so dont want to waste my time and fuel.
hope you can give me a bit of advice and add a key in near future if customer decides to move forward.

my customer would like new key. from what i have read (in previous posts) for new key i only need smart box dump and key will be added but it will only start.
it needs re-coding to operate smart and locking functions. am i right?
will genuine mvp pro manage to recode key for toyota iq 2012/13 ? (many options for proximity key coding in the menu but no models listed..)

ok i know ur method should work cause it did work before on another car , but on this land cruiser didnt work.
i have another land cruiser i removed the smart box and put it the this car and i get ignition and remote works but didnt start. so i removed the eeprom from smart box dead car and put it in the working smart box car and still didnt work no ignition. i tried to look for id box and i couldnt find it all i found was the fuse box.
what could be the problem ? dead smart box ?

no, this dump is just for u to test the smart ecu, you will not be able to add key (need id code)

if u get ignition (need to push the start button), will think of other solution for you

oh.... accident car lol no start, many other reasons, we never touch itscanned the car all i got was these fault codes :B2784 Antenna Coil open/shortB2788 inputted IG2 value is abnormal B278A immobiliser power charge malfunction VC5 GND short but when i replace the smart box from another car i get no fault code at all

i have bit of a problem now.
eeprom updated, car starts with key 1 next to ignition
tried to add this key 1 again via obd via mvp pro. no success. i get initial beep for registered key but get no beep for "put new key round start button"
i sucesfully added the key 2 and all function work ok.
it looks like the car doesnt want to accept the first key once trying to get it re-coded.
any advise on this one?

no smart, no remote
tried to add it again via obd by mvp pro to get prox and remote working. mvp communicated with car ok (2 keys coded) and when i press code keys it says - hold working key next to smart button (counting down 30 seconds). when i hold it i beeps - means key recognised. then i get next step - hold new key (key to be coded) next to the start button (counting down 30 seconds). i hold same key -key1 - no beep, countdown goes to 0 and i get message coding failed, key in memory 2.
i did above 3x always same result
then i did it again but as new key (key to be coded) i used key 2 and i got beep straight away and info - key coded, keys in memory 3.
key1 working ok , transmitting ok etc.
my guess is - mvp pro may not be able to re-code the key which is already in memory (key 1) unless we make reset (clear keys).
only new keys can be coded via obd. key 1 became already coded/used once i have started the car with it.
i remember few pages back someone had similar situation.
maybe it could be re-coded by tech stream?

you are the toyota master so im not disputing your knowledge etc. dotn get e wrong, its just my guess
in the future i would add used key to eep and then code new one via obd.

as an advisory for others - i had to communicate with IQ as type1. mvp said leave ignition OFF. i had no comms. when i gave ign ON then it did communicate ok. so dont be fooled by mvp message. just make ign ON.

i would like to say once again big thank you for all your help, time and patience.
i would like to see you doing that car - it has been done for car trader but at toyota dealer car park. i had a dozen mechanics watching me from the garage and they were very impressed of the results. so all of their impression im passing to you as its your merit.

this is other probrem with RX 350
All keys open and close doors ; but no sound in the car , on immo light and reflet light on the dash . No signal or light from start - stop butom.

reporting on my problem with this land cruiser
i got another land cruiser same model even same color :D ,
1 removed its id box and its smart box and put them in my land cruiser and i everything work so my land cruiser wires are all ok and everything working well
2 installed my ID box and my smart box in the working land cruiser using the Virgin dump that PremierD gave me , i can get ignition on with that dump but as well fail to program a new key using MVP pro the keys i m using all has page 1 98 and the working land cruiser has page 1 98 as well
question:
if i read the id box and smart box of the working land cruiser and put them in my id box and smart box and use the working key to add another key using the working key will that affact the working land cruiser ? will this work ?

if the part numbers is the same u can clone all three module lock id code and smart , then sync for 30 min and will start then just add another key via obd if u have a new key to add will be no problem ,

if u want to read also the engine ecu i can write sync codes so u dont need to sync for 30 min

Go to a working land cruiser and add new smart key, then copy all dumps ,ID box and smart ecu then load them to your land cruiser, then start it with the smart you add it, regards.

hello, gwee. Could you please help me with 2007 Prius with all keys lost? Client bought key from the dealer. I used original AVDI to program this new key to the car. Followed instructions. Car started ok but smart key doesn't work. Checked smart button (pressed in), checked codes - no codes. I took the ID Box out and read 93LC66. Could you virginize it please? Or if there is a better way of doing it, I'm willing to learn.

I have installed ESL and reset smart box module and id code box. Key is recognised, ignition is on but engine don't start. I tried short pind 4 and 13 in obd but no result. In PCM there is no dtc's but in data list fuel pressure is 0 during cranking (fuel pressure sensor is ok because i changed it)...i think there is problem with comunication between ESL and ID code box...but it is just my opinion....
If somebody would like to help me i will be very grateful....especially mr Gwee ;)

if you see pressure as 0 psi (kpa) how do u expect the engine to start ?
first check the low pressure side should be about 45psi , then check the high pressure pump .

The Car yes, maybe wrong box installed. Car was stolen, got VIN manipulated and was found back. The problem on this cars is, that no one knows, what happened exactly with this cars. Maybe some ecus from other older cars got installed. The car is from 2011. VIN is VNKKH96380A184192. Took a look the online part catalog. This says 12/2010. So you are right. Would think its modelyear 2011? Label on pin socket of smart box tells me partnumber: 89990-52092. Part number of brand new key ordered by vin is 89904-0D070. Anything incompatible?

First it ask to put registered key on start stop button to hear a beep(yes it beep) , then to put a second key , when i put the same key it passed a 30 minutes then failed!!

if is used, just reset both id code and smart

new key, u must hear 2 beeps when first added
Failed with x100 , same as techstream it ask for second key

For first key one beep
When i put first key near switch it beep one , then x100 ask for second key i put the key near switch and it cannot complete procedure
