BMW ECU MEV9 - How to read eeprom?

Hello,


i?m trying to copy the data from a broken MEV9 ecu (Bosch 0261208388) via BDM(Xprog).
I can read flash, mcu and config but not the eeprom.
Xprog gives an error message "Unable to detect SPI EEprom"

Is there any way to read the eeprom on this ecu with xprog?
If not what tool can read it?

MEV9 don't have SPI EPROM, only have External Flash M58xxxxx.
Just read MPC Flash, Config and External Flash then write to other DME.

Hi,

i tried to copy but i have to remove the write protection by setting the EPEE pin to 3.3V.
Does anybody know where i can find this pin on the pcb?

Hi,

thanks for the instrutions. I finished copying and all seems to be fine.

Next to the 5V pad, shown in your picture, you?ll find a 3.3V Pad.
So there?s no need to use 5V but it will work too of course.
