Hi all normally stuck in the satellite forums so very new to this.
Looking for some advice I have a Golf Plus 1.9 TDI 2006 need to set the mileage back to its original mileage as had been clocked by the previous owner.
1) how can I tell what dash I have installed without striping it out.
2) I have a Audi VW Seat Skoda VAG K+CAN COMMANDER 3.6 OBD2 diagnostic cable will this do the job.
3) I have Tacho 2.31 for logarithms but dot know which tacho to select.
4) I have vag dash tool by gopel no idea how to use it.
5) when I eventually get a read of the ecu do I save it make a copy alter the copy then write it back to the ecu.

Any help and advice is appreciated.

THANKS

Hi thanks for your reply but I don't fully understand your reply
by dump you mean the file that contains the speedo files from ecu ?

Car type: VW Golf 5 VDO - 24c32 - 2003-2006 years have I got the correct speedo or if I get the wrong one will it not let me wright to it.

Thanks for the reply's you are totally correct wasted money on this Chinese crap that claims to do many things. I am going to buy the correct tools for the job, has anyone used Aceta multi diag if so can you tell me if it will change the mileage and reset the airbags before I purchase the cables. is it a good diagnostics program.

Don't know about that but a digiprog will do the job diagnostically

Why don't you buy a upa? Then you can use it for lots of things as well.
I assume you mean to set the mileage FORWARD to its original, not BACK to its original?
