On my Seat 6L,the dashes are interchangeable, there are two types VDO and Magneti Marelli.

hi

yes, you can learn any of them, vdo or motometer, as you can see reference is same (not manufacturer) meaning is suitable.

Apparantly the second hand dash VDO is not compatible to the car or something

correct me if I am wrong....

I have the PIN code from orignal car and PIN code from second hand dash

When I put the second hand dash in the car, i go with VCDS to LOGIN (10),
I put the PIN CODE which is accepted, but in ADAPTION (11), when i go to channel 50, it says ERROR....

any idea WHY this happen, for what reason ? ECU is maybe not the original one or something ??

Thanks for feedback

Here is a little scenario...I used to have problems fetching PIN from MotoMeter clusters, what I used to do instead was buy VDO clusters from the car breaker and do standard key programming on the car, not ECU adaptation.

Now when doing this, make sure both clusters are IMMO2, because anything after that is going to come with a chassis number in it and is going to give you a head ache.

Immo2 dashboards have no channel 50. That's why you get the error.
