I take it you are talking about Meriva v Astra G?

They are not compatible - even if the eeproms are cloned. As far as I can remember the fuel pump enable is different (one is pin 23 and the other is pin 24). Thats not the main problem though, the clocks on the HSFI 2.5 vehicle are fed by CAN bus through the body control module and on the HSFI 2.1 the clocks have seperate wires from ECU to just turn warnings on and off (unless it is K-Line, but either way, the clocks won't work).

Oh yes I think you right it all make sense and with that being said one cannot use the 2.1 to make 2.5 ----shucks

Hsfi 2.5 and 2.1 have the same hardware, only software difference. All you have to do is to write new flash and pair the ecu with car.It works 100%.On 2.5 you can't clone ecu by write eprom, must be reset and paired by op-com, tech2,etc.

more simple, clone eeprom with carprog, and clone flash with mpps.

next flashed the eeprom ( carprog) and also the flash (kess)
now i reset and program pin code at BCM and IPC and VOILA! running good

Interchangeble. But i tried just transforming a 2.5 into 2.1. clone flash and eeprom and it works. From 2.1 into 2.5 i never tried. Are you sure it might work 100%? Thanks

Nope, 2.4 is a xep. Will not work. There is another thread on dk where you can find explanations. Search hsfi 2.1 debrick. Good luck

Hello,

Can someone tell me if I reset the hsfi 2.1 ecu with opcom and then write the flash from a hsfi 2.5 in the ecu and then activate the ecu with new pincode again will this work.
Or do you have to copy the eeprom content also?

Regards.

I haven't carprog.

Or how can i know the PIN of the ecu to adapt on car?
