Its not an I want .. Its a Please can I have ..lol I need to read the following ECU by BDM pads using Xprog .. I have the connection (I think) .. but need the power ups for the ECU .. many thanks in advance of course .

It is actually a 320i just for the record ;)

BDM points in the link above mate. Use BDM frame soo much easier ;)

I gave my CMD frame away to a friend mate .. . .. I have the pads (which are only half there ) water damage lol soldered as per diagram ...now I think in Xprog it says power the ECU .. I have seen lots of power ups but none for the one I have I tried the 12v to the two other pads shown .. still won't work I get Initialising...................................... .........................................Cup of tea ................................................bo g .................................................. ............................ give up ..lol if anyone knows how to power the ****er ... I would appriciate them passing that info on :)

Are you 100% sure its a power problem? I assume you are using an external 12v power source?

The Connections above are correct but I use a slightly different connection with xprog-box for these ecus.

Dont connect anything to VF1. Connect Both B6 + B7 to VF0.

I have told in last post. Basically 2 wires from xprog to 1 pad on the ecu.

Also make sure the earth of the xprog is joined to the earth of the external power source (same pad or solder the powersource earth to the big silver strip next to the bdm pads).

If you need to write the mpc there is also a resistor that needs to be removed and a jumper soldered in (epee pin)
