Hi guys, I really need some help with a 1998 bmw z3, 1.9L, cluster.
It is the cluster with 3 connectors, a white, light blue, and a smaller black connector.
I was changing the kilometers and it looks like I saved my original files wrong.
The chip inside the cluster is a 93c46 and it also has the plug wich I believe is another 93c46.
I have tried downloading some of the dumps from other posts, loaded them, but with no luck. Maybe I fried the eeprom, but it still reads on my Tacho and with upa usb.
The clusters is HW:1.3 SW:7.0, in kilometers
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

What are you asking for exactly? A good dump?
You say you believe the coding plug is a 93c46? Did you not edit the mileage on the plug also?
Eeprom should be ok if it reads with programmer. What happens when you load a dump you downloaded?

Yes, l'm looking for a good dump. Yes, I also edited the coding plug with the desired mileage. When both dumps are loaded I get the Code-2 error on the cluster and nothing works. Thanks

Yes I did, desoldered the 93c46 from inside and loaded it in 16 bit using UPA USB programmer

In case anyone wants the answer to this (9 years later), the files need endian swap to work (depending on your hardware programmer).
