new open media 500cs

i have just got a 500 cs and was going to set up the cable side first then move on to the sat side later, i have switched on and checked the software version and it says v.1.0 04.06.2008 support digital-kaos.co.uk, is this ok for me to just fxp straight off or do i need a newer version on first?

ok reading through other threads it seems as though i needed to update to 1.1 so have done this and it scanned but only free channels. so i'm gearing myself up to fxp it later.

Just threat it as you would a 500C/s and add the latest ROMs and Emu via FTP for the cable side.

You done the reading wilf, well done on what I presume is your first open sourced box and now to get the Sat side up :)

yes first 1 m8 going to move house soon so thats why i chose to try this particular box so as i have the option of having either or if things go pear shaped in the future on either. cheers
