Has anybody has experience with a new chineese galleto clone.

enclosed are 2 images of galletto v54 I bought from china last week and got it yesterday. I don?t know if there is a difference with version 53. As for the software I am having some trouble installing it cause there is only 2 files. It installs ok but when try to run I cant do it. I am working on it. Can't understand why the hell they pour that shit over the PCB, afterall its a clone and well known. No secrets there, just different bin in MCU regarding V53.

I would not buy poured with shit fgtech, imagine it fails and you need to repair.... ufff :shot:

I have installed the software I will try to test with car later and upload file for compare purposes. Actually it was pretty simple to install. First install galletto app, the install galletto win7 app. That is it.

I tried to write a file to a Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol ME 7.4.4 This file I have been using for some time, but what I did before is to remove EEPROM and program with programmer and then resolder to ECU. File worked ok. But now that I try to use galletto I get the following message: Writig initialization... reading error or wrong file dimension. I am including the file if someone can review it or has a solution to it. According to galletto cheksum appear as ABC0. I don't know if its is file problem or tool issue. Any advise on how to correct issue.

With this partial readwrite on those 64kb is that were maps are located? If I manage to modify that part can I tune ECU withjust thosekb? Can kess V2 do the whole memory read/write? or just same result. It happens that I already have a good tune for that ECU and want to use it.

Problem is not ftdi.
If sw start but not recognize your tool is because standard sw of v54 allow to run only specific serial number (stored in Nxp mcu).

For update v53 to v54 correctly you need specific modded sw version ;)

In Lpc (Nxp lpc2119fbd64) only difference between fw 53 chinese and v54 eu is in the serial number stored in it.
But I think you just know this :joyous:

I can add all stability bug corrected in "eu v54" via sw; and run sw in win 7, witouth change date and witouth install language china.
This is an update to V54 to all effects.

no exchange date. sw is stable and I use it for several months without any problems.
seen that the protocols are the same as I continue to use the sw v53, partly because I was denied sharing this update V54.

Your problem, mostly, is defective MCU programming. You need exchange MCU with a well programmed one or if you have correct dump reflash it on board.

For free probably you can't find....
Replace mcu (fast method) and then you can update ;)

I have some issues also, I have install it and running on 1 pc with windows xp, but for some reason I cant use it on W7 32bit. it installs drivers and everything ok, but when try to run, date changes and program doesn't open. SN in sticker 0161.
It is V54 by the way.

Problem is your Lancher (bad compiled and not work proper on win7)
Try to use compatibility mode with win xp and run sw with administrator privilege.

For your tool number (0161) i can do nothing, because my sw update work with serial 0475 (available for china clones)

Probably it helped installing chinese language.
But it works only with one V53 sort(without dongle).
I have few of them.
I have V48 and V53 on the same laptop and both of them work.

I have chines clone with 3 leds. But don't know which version? I have black Box which says Galletto 2

i close Software, and try to open again than software won't start any more.

Success!! FGTech V53 - only. (repair eobd2.exe error)
I worked all night and fix it !
I have a solution to the problem of error: eobd2.exe> kernel32.dll> Offset 00012aeb.

If you've done everything:
1 changed the date,
2 installed language files
Configured a third with Mprog,
4 have used USB Fix

and still have the same problem - I know how to fix it :)

If the correct driver is loaded (not from old v48-v52 that is not working with V53), date is set, asian languages installed and USB FIX applied with FG file should work as is obviously on WinXP only.

Yes, problem is in your sw is present a lot of potential warning code.
Antivirus kill process and delete some file if it is active.

Result is some errors in various protocols inside sw.

In xp just run EOBD.EXE not EOBD2.EXE. And install correct fgtech driver that comes with v54 sw. With old driver sw crash.

Just manually delete:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\ftdibus.sys
c:\windows\system32\ftbusui.dll
c:\windows\system32\FTLang.dll

and install drivers and software again.

i just received my Galletto V54 from UOBD - i was happy to see there was no longer any black glue over the pcb, no sanded parts.....
the delivered cd was unreadable (file checksum faults) but i installed another file from the internet and installation was easy - install software, install drivers, click shortcut icon and install a second time.
the tool comes without a power supply but that's no problem for the current price - i still paid 88 euro but now the price is even reduced to 73 euro...
The tool seems to work ok though i only tested it on a IAW5NFT1 and a Suzuki (Bosch) ecu with 1762 tricore.

no exchange date. sw is stable and I use it for several months without any problems.
seen that the protocols are the same as I continue to use the sw v53, partly because I was denied sharing this update V54.
maybe because I have a few posts on the forum, or maybe because I'm on ****ing someone because I offer this solution.
I do not know nor want to know.

after having installed the drivers from the FT Tech folder and opening the shortcut with the message "registered to Drxxxx" you have to install the software for the second time.
There are loads of video's on Google showing how it's done...

If it is chinese v54 show in windows device manager.
If not recognized as "fgtech" you must rewrite ept (in chinese v54 ept corruption is very easy)

Yes it is normal, red light is check for external voltage.
Unistall driver, enter in windows/system32/drivers and delete file "ftdibus"; then reinstall driver

V54 sw, as it comes from chinese guys, only run if you install it in C:\FGTech

If you move the instalation elsewhere it stops working.

I have same software like everybody, fgtech galletto edited v1.0. working good with my 0386 device.

i tried now on c:\
same.
Software doesn't open....again...nothing.

1.) Maybe someone can confirm that it is normal that led does only light up for a short time, while usb plugged in? When i plugged in other devices like kess the led lights the whole time!
2.) Software can be opended only with device? And software can only opened with device while connecting to a car (+12V)?

When i install the software now i don'T get the message any more that this soft is registered to dragon xp.
I think something is wrong with my device :/

Maybe someone can give me his working software and backup of ept and fdti file?

Install sw to default place c:\fgtech

Connect galletto v54 to usb port.

Go to device manager and unistall actual driver of fgtech.

Unplug fgtech from usb and plug it again.

Install drivers provided into c:\fgtech folder. This is important, older drivers won't work,

Then make usbfix with same file FG as used with v53.

Then try to open sw, if OS is xp run eobd.exe not eobd2.exe

If OS is win7 run eobd2s.exe.

mate.uninstall,clear log entries from registry,then reinstall,start the software close it.then run an second time the setup,after that sw start normaly.

date yes (some from forum helped me, and he did it, don't solve the problem)
antivirus and firewall disabled
sure galletto is plugged in and drivers are correct installed too
hah which galletto do i have......i bought it as v54, but which version do i have?!? don't know! how can i verify?

try to install on another pc,maybe your xp has an problem.

Is the pc powerful enough? I read it has to be 2Ghz dual core ? Does the program open in the apps window (ctrl alt del) cpu increase?....just an idea? Hope it helps?

i don't think it really needs 2ghz.
galletto v50 was working on this computer too, and people tell also needs 2ghz

Read 100% after 5 seconds close the programm complet

I have install normal
First install
Start programm
Install again
Connect usb
Install driver from fgtech folder


My programm start but i become error message when i read ecu over obd edc15

I make tomorrow screen or video
