Hi
wonder if you know how's this one done
Land Rover Defender Remote Key Fob and programming | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defender-Remote-Key-Fob-and-programming-/141248718101?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item20e3146515)
it must read eeprom via obd somehow as they can retrieve EKA after the job is done.
after reading eeprom how can they add the remote if it doesnt have barcode etc?

wonder if any of you have any info.
this little toy is usefull once all remotes lost

The fob is either an aftermarket repro or the developer has extracted its 4 byte seed key.

Either way, they know the necessary key which is embedded in that OBD programming plug.
