Hi
I have a BMW E60 '05 which has a fault code stored "93F9 - Low Reserve Voltage" and cannot be cleared. After I've searched on google I think it has something to do with backup power and some faulty capacitors. Does anyone have any ideea about this, do I need to replace those capacitors or rewrite a good dump? Car have been reflashed so I don't think it's a firmware issue

LE: Problem solved, changing the capacitors will cure fault 93F9. 8200uF 63V 35x35. I attached a photo with them, good luck

Hi, thank you for repair solution.
your airbag SGM still No faults? (after replacing capacitors)
how did you remove capacitors from the electrical board, capacitors are glued with epoxy.?

Thank you in advance.

Usually 83F9 will go with new capacitors but had one module which I've had to reball the CPU, strange. No errors so far

Hi dunkler

What do u mean reball cpu? Is it the same as flashing it? Rewrite firmware?

Is it easy to open the module? What about desolderind and soldering back the capacitors? Easy? Difficult? Do you need any special equipment? How many capacitors does it have?
Sorry for so many questions. Really need some help with this.

Would two of these do the job?

Thanks in advance.

Is it easy to remove the old capacitors. I'm getting fault 93f9, voltage of reserve energy v60 n.i.o. Really interested if it can be repaired

Reballing is done a lot with computer chips, where controlled heat is applied to chips, to hopefully repair any cracks in the solder joints within.

Did you use 105c capacitors or 85c?

I changed the capiators but no luck - did reprogram, recode, start system time no luck - 93f9 - spannung u60 n.i.o. After connect on capiators see 60V but immanginally goes down slowly like the power supply go off?

U think need to change other capiators on board?
