Vw Sharan 2000 Xreg ATM Engine . Engine managment light came on and gives these 2 codes .
17852 EGR valve position sensor range/performance
17560 Long term fuel trim 2 bank 1 below lean limit
Could anyone shed some light on what might be my first step to fixing them .Thxs taz10.

17560- fuel pressure pump,injectors,intake,exhaust/leak,Air system,HO2S
17852- Wiring EGR Valve position sensor

Possible faulty MAF sensor (known issue with this model) what's LTFT and STFT readings? this could give further clues, if you use a substitute maf sensor make sure you reset adaptions as well.

possibly the EGR valve and adjoing electrics are covered in dirty oil like here:

egr valve will b ~~~~~ed......as for the other fault could b cozd by the egr valve aswell

turns out it is the erg valve thxs lads...
