Red Light VU Duo

Firstly I know very little about the box, it was bought off ebay as second hand. When i first switched it on it seemed to take a while to start up and needed switching on and off frequently before it would get past the red light. This has carried on for a few months until this week when it won't get past the red light. The only difference this week is that i switched all my sockets off at the board to change a plug socket, when the sockets were switched back on it wouldnt start. I have read that the Capacitor may need changing, i am happy to try this but was wondering if there is any other fixes i could try before doing this?

Thanks, I used that on Friday and managed to revive the box - only problem I have now is only channels 1-4 work and literally no others (itv2, itv3 etc).

not connected to lan,check network settings,and or power off at rear box and modem for 20 secs then on.

Ive tried switching on and off, done a network test which was all fine. Still not getting the channels. Any other ideas?

If something did need restarting I wouldnt have a clue how to do it - i'm a complete newb, tried googling the problem but no joy.
