View Full Version : Immo off BMW MS42 5wk9037 please

Please help me with this immo off. Car is 2000 BMW 328i. Original DME is MS42 5wk9037 7500255. Junkyard DME is MS43 5wk90012.
I found a immo off file (not verified) and wrote to 29fxxx and car won't start. Is it ok to put MS42 to a MS43 DME? Both are from 6 cylinder motors.

Can you please immo off this file? It's a .M1I file. not sure what that means.

by fixing the car the right way :)

I think there is an immo off solution for MS42 but people who know are not sharing it for free. It's cheaper/quicker just to fix the car properly.

how did you solve it?

Disassemble the flash file, find the corresponding routine, force some bytes, reassemble the file, correct checksums and you?re good to go.

You?ve partially FF?ed checksum handling? Why?
