i have a 2005 206 thats playing up. The stored codes that i get are p0341- camshaft position sensor circuit
p0012- intake camshaft position timing- over retarded
when first starting it wont fire just turns over , engine speed is present
then when starting for a second time it fires up
it idles at 1500rpm
when it drops to 800-1000rpm it runs rough like its missing but when revved up its fine. its just came from one garage they have replaced crank sensor throttle body map sensor ecu has been sent to ecu doctor they have also removed and pinned the loom out and all earths have been checked and cleaned. im thinking a inlet camshaft pulley as it is oil pressure controlled like the renaults are but iv never had to replace one. any one had this before? At the moment im thinking a gallon of petrol and a match......

Nearly 90% camshaft fault codes related with timing belt or timing point failure, i sure their cjecked timing?

ye i plan to time it up tomorrow and also check the vvt solenoid see if its stuck open.

Second fault can be related to selenoid, but if timing wrong /( first dtc come) when secont code posible come that selenoid canot aligment inlet timing becaouse of bat toming at all
That here my own opinion

Ahh.
welcome to dk the worlds best website..
ecu doctor is a prize cock c o c k .
if this is the one with funny spark plug spanner and same engine as the BMW excuse for a mini. TBINK search for thread mini r50. It is a feature the timing slips?????

problem may be in wiring, take out connector on ecu and inspect for oli leakage , have done citoren same story as yours. problem cause a oil pressure sensor. beleve it or not oli comer tru wiring into the ecu,

Cam timing is fine all the pins fit as should etc. it's not the mini engine. Is ecu doctor not great at what they do? I personally use ecu decode. The wiring has been checked by the previous garage but I will check it myself. Has anyone had duff
Sensors from euro car parts..... I think that's where it was from. Ill check the oil pressure switch and ecu plugs too.

I never buy from eurocrap, have had so many failures in the past. Check the crank pulley isn,t falling off. The toothed gear at the rear of the pulley are soft, so the keyway gets worn and throws the timing out.

No oil in the ecu plugs , crank pulley and timing is good a new cam sensor has made no difference. I'm starting to think a coil pack , maybe it's causing interference with the cam sensor.... Or the dephaser pulley on the inlet cam.

Euro car tawts is what we call them.
only company that give you the warranty claim form, then the parts, then the invoice .
think next step is silly scope on the lumpy sticks ..
did somebody mention oil pressure?

Haa ye they arnt on my christmas card list.
oil pressure is good.
do you mean scope to coil pack? on the delphi 150 the graphs for the coil timings measured in 'ms' looks good and when its first started it dosnt start but second attemp it does and idles smoth but between 1400-1700. After i raise the revs for a few seconds it does idle at 800rpm but its very lumpy, unplug the cam sensor the revs raise again to 1400-1700rpm

make sure again that yours timing correct and tensioner is correct tensed
try little bit tens or loose tensionear clear codes and and see again
also i sure yous belt is not too old mete?
also sure u checked crankshaft sensor?

timing is correct and tension is also correct . i tried a donnor crank sensor which made no difference .

While accelerating the timing will advance and this might cause a retarded engine to run better onh iger rpm's.Use an in-cylinder pressure transducer to make sure that the timing is REALLY spot on or not. Move on from there. BTW, what is your compression reading?

If you have coilpack whit white kabel chance te pack
What is ecu sagem or magneti marrelli if is magereti ecu not good
