The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0040: DE FB 8C B1 BD F7 EF BD xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
DE FB 8C B1 BD F7 EF BD - is a mileage

same mazda 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Yes but that would give him 19159 kms which is what he has now. 7BEF29A5EFBDEFBD would give him 6440 km's or approx 4000 miles.

nyo4 seems to do this one well, have you tried to do the correction you want with nyo?

Or are you just looking for info in the algorithm being used?
