Had this car earlier but couldn't remove the cluster. I removed the plastic surround to reveal 2 screws at the bottom and undid those but the cluster was still stuck solid in the middle or at the top. I didn't want to force it so I left it. Has anyone got any idea how to remove this cluster? And before anyone asks, I don't have this cluster diagnostic on any of my machines.

Remove plastic trim below either side of cluster and poke long screwdriver down round hole to push plastic cams at either side to release, spent a lot of time on my back doing this before I knew about this

Yes thats just for the older model this one is just two screws and a bit of a tug will release the rest.

Ok. Ill try that. Was a bit worried about pulling it as it is so stiff.

There is no locks on this 172 there is just 2 screws at bottom and 2 heavy duty clips at back just remove two screws and give it a pull from side to side at top and it will go

Done the job thanks chaps. Was exceptionally stiff though. Another tip thanks to Dave11674: you can lift the LCD up enough to slide it out without removing needles and 95640 is there. I know most will have tools to do dash via OBD but I obviously didn't. Was as easy as a new Focus.
