Hi guys, got this 307 2lt petrol in today with a strange problem. Electric window opening, if I operate drivers (right) window, the passenger window operates. If I operate passenger window from main switch, drivers window goes down but not up. I have to earth the pink wire at switch to get the window up. Checked wires for breaks etc, replaced switches, cleaned all terminals checked fuses, checked for live and earth. Did soft boot to BSI, drivers window goes down and up (with pass switch) for a few times, then back to down only. Removed BSI and checked for water, non found. Used pp2000, no vin present, no fault codes for door modules or BSI. Can see a sticker attached to BSI from a repair!!! Can see in live data the operation of drivers window, but none for pass window. Replaced pass door module, but just the same. I suspect a bad BSI. Can I replace the BSI with known good, or will it need programming, or is it a new BSI required, then programming? Thanks in advance

Ah ok not sure but is there an option for '3 door' or. '5 door' etc in bsi.
sounds like being to BBQ.reman tawts (iShit Failiure) software reset, no vin, doesn't know about windows.
can you scope passenger module and press drivers button

We took the BSI out on Saturday to check for water, and yes the unit had been to bbq reshit for repair. We don't know when this was!

Well if you can get a second hand bsi with the same part number for testing purposes you could test what the windows do....car will not start, but windows should operate. But only do this if you checked the wiring properly. Have you tried function testing the bsi with pp2000 (giving window up/down command)?

Becarful with second hand bsi , the mileage will.automatically go to the highest between the dash and bsi so if your trying a second hand bsi unplug the dash clock

We can now put this to bed. "sorted". New BSI fitted, programmed up, keys coded, windows tested, gas monkey gets paid :joyous:. Thanks to all who helped.
