Not strictly immo as assume this is in dash - but never the less the new, replacement GEM module needs coding as car won't start

What's the procedure with IDS ??
(Garage owns one & will try tomorrow)

No comms with my Abritus kit - could something else be wrong with car ???

Original GEM caught fire - burnt tracks etc - I've already tried swapping the eeprom but no luck :(

Thanks guys for any input.

I dont think the Gem needs coding , i fitted new and used before and never needed to, is it the correct gem as there are various ones? is it new? whats the immo light on dash doing?

No m8 no gem matching needed. probably u connected a wrong gem type, that is the reason for non starting scenario...

I have same car and GEM need coding %10000,becuase immo in gem.avdi make this job with last update,(I mean last update today published)
by the way,you can make with IDS but need original tool + etis

(I mean 2011-)

Make sure the car gets tested before swapping anything, i had a ford with burnt out track inside the ecu, turned out to be a faulty coil pack!!.

First important question. What year is this car?

2007 and fuses sticking out of back of box, white in colour.

Thought immo was in dash, not GEM. Nothing flashing on display but strange why no comms with my AVDI (on any system) ??

Will update AVDI today and take an old scan to see if comms.

@nazz2: sure thing - heard coil packs can damage electrics

maybe other issues - cheers
