I new for Chiptuning.
I work last 2 years with Mileage Correction on Cars.

Question:

What can i read and write via OBD without risk of Damage ECU?
EDC15 safe write OBD?
EDC16 safe write OBD?
ME ECU`s safe write OBD?

My Tools
- FgTech Galletto V54
- MPPS
- BDM100
- BDM Frame

use mpps for edc16 before 2008 year
bdm 100 for edc15,sdc16,on bench more safe
use kess for others,or dimsport genius

Are you sure BDM100 for EDC15? Or it was a typo?

In my opinion use always BDM first to be on safe side! You can use the BDM from your V54, unless you use a mini Galletto.

MPPS it's a good tool for OBD on EDC15/6, but depends on which version.

Kess is also a good tool!!! Like Galletto for boot mode.

For me mppps clone works perfect edc15 till now, all vag cars, I test also Edc16 and edc16u34 vag cars, dde 3.0 bmw, mercedes edc16, all works perfect.

It's not good to scary other, we are all be beginner, all begin is hard, friend is just ask us is mpps good for vag, and all of us can confirm, work good for all vag edc15.

You can work on bench with MPPS, you need pinout for ecu, in program you can select read slow mode (on bench).

I just say that mpps have that option, for bench I use bdm100, fgtech2.

Yes, please tell more about MPPS, what we can do with and how? Recoverys, backups etc..
