Bmw 320d E46 0281010565 dde/ews sync edc16c31

Hi to everybody, I've got a bmw 320d e46 with edc16C31 ecu, the original ecu is faulty and I've got the same ecu with same reference.

I cloned ecus with bdm but I've got an EWS manipulation fault code 4a63 in ecu, in ews has not faulty codes, it's ok.

The engine cranks but not start so I readed that I need to sync dde with ews but when I try with several tools (hannatech,inpa,texa axone, etc) I can't do this function.

I readed in a lot of trheads that I need to get the isn number but I don't know whats it.

I think is 4D02 but I have to do with this number.

I attached the bdm reads of both ecus and the ews mcu with xprog.

If someone can help me would be apreciated.

Friend the solution is the launch, this makes the sync and you can start the car

launch work on them, may error but contact remove and put back several times and it does ;)

Put this eeprom in ECU and start the car.

Hi friend a lot of thanks for the help me, tomorrow I will try becouse the car is a 50km, can you sync the files of spare ecu?, Now I'm not sure but I think when I write the original soft in the spare ecu, short circuit inyector error faults appeared.

However when I put the spare ecu with original soft, only appears ews manipulation code.

Sorry Arvedo I don't understand you very much, I considered my friend Lupu and you for to help me. :joyous:

But I doubt that launch diagun does work becouse I tried with several tools.

One more question Arvedo, When you swap ecus with same reference without clone, you can sync dde/ews by diagnotic tool as a cloned ecu or is not posible??

Hi again, I can't start de car, the ews/dde are synchronized but and there is not a dtc relationated with ews but the car doesnt start becouse give dtc faulty injectors activation and dtc faulty internal ecu.

It's possible that the second hand ecu is faulty or it's a incompatible ecu??

Both ecus has got the same bosch reference:0281010565, but the bmw reference is diferente, original has got DDE7 789 572 and second hand ecu has got DDE7 793 443.

I never had problems with this ecus but I dont know waht happens.

Hi again mates, I have another car with same ecu and same problem caused by a flat battery, I tried to sync with carsoft, inpa and launch without success even pluggin a battery charger with 13V.

I have same car, servicer find used ecu and replace only eeprom but car not start. In attach ori ews and eeprom, (ecu ori burned so cant read with BDM flash and mcu)

I there, for the second time i have a problem with these ecu's wth the ews tampering error. I tryed to install a emulator that works ok i done it many times edc16c31 included but this is the second time this happens, the ecu have those erros and it syncs but don't start. I am assuming that a error is registered in eprom for sure but i can't figure it out.

Is there any fix for this situation?

Hi mate, the data is repeated 4 times in the 95320 eeprom, the checksum is incremental +1 (Offset) per block, if I'm not mistaken the result would be like this, Block -> Checksum16 -> + 1 -> xor FFFF

Your file CRC okIm talking off this file. The file you sent had bad checksum. So you can begin by putting good checksum file to see if it work

Car was driving fine before battery was drained and now doesnt start. In ecu theres is error 4A42. In EWS no errors. I readed EWS and DME and attached dumps here.
