BMW cass2 with 256 mcu

I've done at least 200 cas2units with my trusted dp3 ,never a problem till today , I had to wire up the 256 micro and it read perfect .as I was programming the processor one of the wires came free and now car won't start ,it shows the new mileage and engine turns over but won't start. Can Bmw ref lash the Cas2unit on line or do I have to get a new/replacement cas????

Try re aligning cas with dme I had it once turning over but no start that is what problem was took 2 mins with autologic

I don't have autologic but customer has a friend working in BMW dealer so that mite help , will I have to replace cas 2

No mate just try re alignining if miles are ok and it is cranking should be ok sounds exactly like I had

without autologic how can i reallign it ????

check fault codes in dme\dde and cas, if starter motor works should be no problem with cas flash.

You can do Cas/DDE Alignment with launch diagun and avdi etc, it's good it's cranking, all personalised EPROM data must be intact. I've had this problem also on x5 alignment sorted in mins

You can also do realign with INPA cable. Chose your DDE option
engine - dde - CAS - reset - store - back - back- remove cable and start engine.
