can you tell me what do you think about chiptuning on X3 2.0D, 340000km, 2007, whit DPF inside? I clear DPF filter whit ultrasonic cleaner today, and im thinking about make a chiptuning on it. What do you think is it a good idea or only whit only whit turned off dpf? thx

Why not, there is a lot of car which have 500 000 km and still working, check if is all ok turbo and other components, why not one optimum tuning, rregards.

Well a lot of people do dpf off, but if is dpf not necessary factory will never put in new cars, for me is better to stay dpf on, if you have problem then dpf off, that's my opionion about dpf, but here is a lot of memebers they can give their opionion.

i dont have problem whit dpf, so it will be better for me whit dpf on...

Maybe dpf delete (empty) and make dpf off, but you will not have problem tuning and
dpf if this post can break turbo because the temperature is very high.

is not a good ideea to empty completly the dpf...can create problems of turbo...best to drill the ceramic and cancel from ecu ...

is the same thing completely empty, dpf.
because then you can loosen and clog exhaust outlet.
and is double work ;)

wrong...and the sensors from dpf (BMW) what tell when they smell the free gas?and the sensor of pressure turbo?think is better drill with 12 mm...no possibility loosen and clog exhaust outlet....i made this work like these and no more problems

when you drill,you drill from right to left or left to right...not from down to up....so can,t broke the ceramic...same linear structure where you drill

why is ceramic inside dpf ? response is here ...Maybe dpf delete (empty) and make dpf off, but you will not have problem tuning and
dpf if this post can break turbo because the temperature is very high....so do not empty dpf....drill it and all be ok...

another problem is, that my car have 120kW power when i buy it. it is same motor as 130kW but BMW sell cars to Belgian whit 120kW. I get original 130kW flash, and remap my to 130kW but after make this i have 4 errors:

now im thinking what will be the best way for me ...

I tune my original 120@130 so i get power as in original 130kw motor, but after i have errors...

Yeager, I think that file is not for your car, like betrescudan said, why you don't tune your file? That way you avoid problems....

Friend that's normal read you file and mod your own file, other writing files from other cars is just game.

one car...one tune....and here you can find free tunes files if you want...so post the your orig file and will see what happened...first need be a file orig without dtc errors

Back your ori file in car before you are not blown your BMW, and post here for remap, or if you know remap by yourself. That's not good to put files from other car, what are you think for example Golf 74kw and someone put 96kw map but moded, that Golf will go like crazy but for short time :)

you dont understand me :), car have edc17 so is impossible write file from other car to it ... i open my file in ecm2001 and open 130kW file in ecm2001 compare maps and make changes on it now it is same ( i think) as original 130kW .... maybe problem is, that ecm2001 dont open all maps and thisway have this problems...

No is not good is total crap of file and other 130 kw is not same software do not ride in your car

i ride in my car more than a half year, whit this sw ... is it possible make from my file 130kw file same as original? ... or a littlebit more ... max 130-140kW ... like i say, i have DPF inside, yesterday i clean it whit ultrasonic cleaner ...

There is nothing touch on this file, this can make every one for 2 minutes.

Can i ask how many power you add? This week i will faar to italien 1400km ... Can i write it, or better leav origo sw, and after a come back go test your file?

for testing a file means 10 minutes for charge into the car and 1/2 hour test on the street for smoke,power and consumtion...you can test....for knowing the real power,must making the car on dino...the tester for power...i think you have +8-10% from original...test the smoke,acceleration,and others....i wait the results

How do you test the smoke with a DPF? If it produces smoke it will catch inside the dpf and block it very quickly and regenerate too often.

Read again what the man was wrote, if the engine produce alot smoke, the DPF will be blocked soon, but anyway from the exhaust will be not seen... so how to check if your remap produce a smoke?

man,and where did the smoke go?if not out from exhaust?....maybe all the smoke (if it is),rest inside until you make a good remap for this car...do you know how work the DPF?...do you know about the sistem emergency?...if is smoke,the car enter on emergency...that means not more 2500-3000RPM....oh...sorry for you my friend bobolinao...but is a long distance from your alfa to bmw....
