ID40 is 7935 precoded to opel.
A 7935 virgin transponder can use to others brands cars, but you need generate the ID for each brand for program key. For cloning chip is not necessary genrate ID.

The chip should read Opel 40 WR and after programming it will lock to the vehicle and read Opel 40. These chip are not clonable as far as I'm aware.

Follow the way TPS have said, you need ID-40 and security code your op-com is good enough.

if you cant find a supplier to sell you a new chip, let me know and i can post you one.
As said above, the pcf7935 needs to be pre coded to ID40, and a used one can not be re used on another car, and they also can not be cloned.

Maybe i wrong... but i believe id40 can be clone on tp5(7930-7931), but id40 crypto(7935) can't be cloneable. Then some id40 can be cloneable (in this case astra g can't be cloneable) some old opel must be clobeable... anyway i can be wrong.

old opel can be cloned on to a T5, 1999 onwards - no chance.
