BMW E46 320d EDC16 need to change emergency rpm limit. Please help!

Hello,

I built a E46 320d 150hp engine into a E30.
The engine ecu is turned into "emergency mode" because it not receive speed signal via can-bus.
I built speed signal generator for the ecu,but i can connect it only to the direct speed signal line.
Now the engine fault memory throws a can-bus speed signal error and won't rev up to 5000 rpm just to 4000.

The question is:
Can i change (or somebody for me) the emergency mode rpm limiter to 5000 rpm,or how can i solve this problem?
Because i did it on Siemens ecu and it worked well.
I needed to find that rpm value in hex and write it to what i want.

But this is a Bosch EDC 16 and i found around 30 hex string about this 4000 rpm...
And i don't know wich is that?

Same problem.
I have only 4000rpm
I need around 4700 rpm.
Now i measure in original car,if i drive with 30km/h then engine revs with full rpm.
But this is a race car,and i don't have can-bus speed signal....

Hi, I´ve the same problem with car swaped. Engine M57 306d2 204cv from BMW e46 330d (6 cilinders). I don´t have installed can line. Only k-line for OBD comunication. I´ve bridged digital signals from clutch and brake switchs but the problem (emergency limit 4000rpm and less power) continue...

Ok, i've compared with hex editor and I find differences in following lines. Tomorrow i'll test it in non tuned file.

The tests of today haven't been good. Without charge, the rpm goes up more than 5000, but in movement from 3000 goes up slowly and Boost goes Down.

guys ive got the same problem with a engine swap where i do not have can speed signal going to the stock ecu, any pointers? ive attached the bin file ive read from the car.

I will help you, but read is bad - no checksums. Try reading again and post.

Should rev to 4500 without limp mode and yes its made with hardcut limiter! See with diag tool not on tacho rpm

Ok when there is no load on the car it will rev to 4600-4700 as soon as I’m driving the hard cut limiter is back at 4200-4300 thank you for all your help even the 200-300 rpm increase makes it better to drive!
