Hello All,

I have a big headache and i need a solution fast. A silly boy washed the engine while the ECU box was open and water went into it.
I cleaned the unit with alcohol and reheated it and it started to talk and occasionally run but hopeless otherwise. Owner purchased a second hand unit and now my job is to program it in.
My mate has autologic and it can't do it, i have E/F scanner and it reads the ISN but i can not write it in also when i try to sync it fails with an error, guess coz the ISN is different or the tool just cant do it. The module has the ST M58B flash and i couldn't read it with Ktag. I have a clone BMW Avdi and i got nowhere with that too.AK300 reads the cas may sych it but cant read the ecu. I'm open to any suggestions. Any option to revirginalise?

Thank you

the easiest way is swap eeprom or the whole ECU content using BDM100

I've used the attached connection to power up the original ecu, the donor is exactly the same unit but it comes up with power up error. the green led comes on at the BDM as i connect the power cables to the ecu.
Any ides?

It is working now BUT when i rewrite the dump on the new ecu i get the following error on the eeprom

MPC500 Family Version: 0x00020020
MPC563/4 Part Number: 0x36200000
EPEE Status: 1
Flash Identified: M58BW016DB

I choosen EDC16 coz that's the only option i get on my bdm with MPC564 is there any better software for BDM then Dimsport?
