How to read ecu edc15 on the bench in boot mode?

How to read ecu edc15: 038 906 0120 K. Need read it on the bench in boot mode with galletto 4 master v54. it was programmed with mpps and flashed wrong dump, now didnt communicates via obd. need to flash ori dump back. what cables to use and what connection? thanks in advance.

Still cant read or write ecu. Galletto says: error send wake. I lost communication with ecu after write bad dump with mpps. Now cant write ori even on the bench. Maybe i do something wrong. Should i swtch galletto to write in boot mode, i cant find this option, remember in mpps it was.

In this case, you've to desolder the chip and write with chip programmer. The flash it's currupted.

Are you not able to recover the ecu with mpps? Mpps has a recovery mode.

My mpps was old and its gone, accidently gots updated by internet and dont work anymore. Now i bought galletto, but its new to me. I found boot tool in galleto, but there is me7 ecu, but no edc15 in the list. Using me7 menu i managed to read flash, but when trying to write it says error writing file. I have only willem for this flash, but unfortunately its shit and dont do the job...

HAY MATE I HAVE TO WILLEM AND I AM READ / WRITE MANY time 29f400 without problem ,with adaptrer for 29f400/800 i read a lot of them .
Whit galleto if i remember cause is before long time you use tool boot and when you go on 29/400 or 29f/800 choose med9 and with boot pin you need to be able to read/write (tested ) , but if flash is currupted desolder .

i was playing with willem all week. i can read chip, but it dont lets me delete and write. even new empty chip it dont writes... in galletto i cant found me9. its galletto 4 master v54

Did you tried by selecting the car where it belongs, and tried to write it without pressing the ID? Using galletto.

V54 china clone sometimes doesn't work with k-Line, willem also works very well i also have one!

Also try to place o 5Kohm resistor on boot pin on the flash

i had exact same issue with this chip / programmer. my issue was resolved by soldering chip to reading board.

some time is a nightmare get good contacts !
clean very weel the pins of the adapter and the eprom !

my one is the same like on Mexicano , and yes you need perfect clear pins and other help is skip write 0xff .
check the ltp pins connecton cause few times i have the same issue and the is my problem - not good contact .

i have recovered many edc15 vag with mpps---USER AIDI-ALLROARD setings,it supports 400/800 flash,and just keep trying with the ecu off the car but wire upto mpps etc,this will work....

mine would also not work with the above board my solder board came with my willem


it did what i needed at the time but very buggy kit..

MPPS included "general ECD15x VAG" recovery in boot mode, just wires and boot and flash.
