Hi folks. Was looking for some advice on what to do with a friends Type R. His ECU failed before, think it shorted out and he replaced if before with a new set - key, immo ring and ECU from the same car.
Now it's happened again, and he wants just another replacement ECU matched in.
I'm not sure how to do this, but he sugessted IMMO aerial and key in to be coded to ECU - which I did with T300/MVP clone. No start, green key on dash flashing. I'm now aware ECU needs matched to them...
I have HDS but no interface for it. Can I do it with this and cheap $20.00 china cable, or proper HDS clone interface for ?100, or any other tool you suggest (launch, Autel etc?)
Another option, clone this ECU by desoldering & chip swapping... pictures of where and how?
