Hi, possible to get key cut/bitting code by vin for Vauxhall Vectra C ? If no, please tell me other ways, how I can read or found it in a car. Thank you.
Someone know where I can buy aftermarket Vectra C keys in UK? 3D group got only genuine...

no after market keys for vectra c , so its original only im afraid and 3d are well priced on these . you wont find these cheaper .
you could pay the dealer an arm and a leg for key code and pin , but id use lishi .
you can pick ignition on or bypass and power up ignition to read key number from system , i use the lishi tool with refined shoulders or the new 3in1 version to pick the ignition , only takes a minute to do this and read the key code .
some vehicles we must earn our crust .

You can buy second hand key, then put new PCF and precode with EFfi276357

by the time you buy 2nd hand , buy virgin chip , spend time preparing it , id want to charge same as new as time has a cost or should do .
if you want to save a few pounds buy with opel badge rather than vauxhall .

I have trouble with the early vectra c, hu43 type, i can pick lock no problem, but the decode is always wrong, also powered up but avdi still wont read the mech key code.
Any pointers on reading the code via obd would be more than welcome :)

I'm guessing you tried but with most Vauxhall's if you turn the radio on you can get pin/key code. without by passing nothing. Thats how I get key code for all Vauxhall's with Zedbull leads. Zedbull is rubbish with Vectra's though

ninja with avdi you need to read pin first then enter it and then read key code i believe , ive not had one fail yet and ive used ad100 pro and avdi to read these , but i always read pin first , procedure i follow is ;
1) pick ignition on to position 2
2) turn on radio
3) read pin code
4) enter pin and then read mechanical key code
it is a difficult read with lishi due to the number of heights involved , you rely on your lifting snibs being pristine which few are after picking a few times , this said it aint easy even with pristine snibs , thus i filed an old lishi door tool down years ago to pick ignitions on , follow above mate and it should sort out your reading key number issues

dont work mate, this method works on astra h and zaffira b, but not on corsa d or vectra c, not with avdi anyway.
been told op com will give the key code without ign on, but pin needed, which avdi will get.
Ill try that next time.

The common problem with vauxhall cars is the ignition switch goes faulty(NOTHING NOTICABLE), except when pulling pin/programming/diagnostics..
To check if the switch is faualty or not on vectra C, with the ignition ON, turn the radion on, then turn the ignition OFF, if the radio stays on, the switch is faulty.
The working switch is very crucial when tester tell you do the commands, ie turn on or turn off.
On earlier vauxhalls, like astra G, you cant pull pin if the switch is faulty, you have to bring the ignition on via the fuse, mind you this and above are aplicable on AD100.
I have had this Scenario with Vectra C, with ad, no go but with vag tacho, key went in, since with vag tacho you dont have to turn the ignition on or off. Same with astra G.

this process hasnt failed me yet ninj , but i guess their is always a 1st time , did one saturday without issue by reading mechanical key this way as many in past , but i will bear in mind the ignition switch issue if one fails in future

Why do you highlight the CIM Hardware Key number?
That has nothing to do with the key blade number.

LOL LOL LOL!!!! :)
You guys make me laugh :)
No one is in need of the hardwear number for the CIM unit, thats on a sticker!!
BTW - I went to a vectra c the other day, and AVDI DEFO CANNOT PULL MECHANICAL KEY CODE WITHOUT THE IGNITION ON.
I tried powering up engine management relays and a few more points too, but still no code, can read pin no problem.
This job was for spare key, so I tried with old key (transponder removed) and AVDI gives the code then, so just need to find where to power up,
but I ran out of time :(

then what is this number ? because it is unique for each car and it is programmable with diagnostic tool ....

Impatient!
Some of us do have lives and only just got back in.
The CIM stores the mechanical key blade code number in it.
The hardware key is a unique ID for the CIM just like an individual hardware fingerprint for a computer.

ninj just pick ignition on mate and read key number , these ignitions pick sweetly easier than doors i think , il send you an email with some info mate , may save you some time researching , personally i dont use power up as one less potential thing that can go tits up , i can generally pick the ignition in a minute or 2 so just as quick and never fails , avdi reads it as soon as ignition is picked on .

Not in all CIM modules you can find key code by this method.

easier to read pin once ign picked on. interesting reading tho that some had issues with faulty ign

pulling mech codes on vx's is hit and miss with the amount of new ecu's etc fitted to vx's i think anyway..... pick and decode and pull pin, but i wouldn't rely on 100% mech key code.
