had it in last week for petrol pump as told he wanted it fitted and also did fuel filter and he said later when collecting car it would not start from hot stall.tried doing diagnostics with brain bee, useless only got eobd =no faults lol, tried autoboss car not listed as too old lol.
saab 93 2.0 and year 2003 petrol.

i mentioned if cutting out when hot and non starting for 20mins and starts when cold sounds like crank sensor, wonder does meaty know of other issues?:top:

injection??
could be crank sensor. they can go open circuit when hot, and reconnect as they cool.

In saab it is common problem crank sensor you will no see any codes but it is 99.9% crank sensor
To check that get bulb and two wires strip isolation from crank sensor and conect + to signal and second to ground
Crank car wen hot and se if bulb will flashing

Tell the customer to do its bit fir charity, ice bucket challenge when hot on crank sensor see if starts.

do you get live data on scanner rpm signal.

or when car is cold as ice warm crank sensor with gas axe, see if non start.

only had the car for a short while and was still running and not cut out, have a crank sensor ready to stick one in,dont think eobd gives live data as normally may have to enter efi which is not there.
