First time doing a lost key on a 2005 megane with keycard.

I was given the the keycode for the emergency blade, the code is 43311374. Can anybody confrim if that code looks right. In the condor menu under renault it will only allow me to add 6 digits so i put 433113 and cut the key but it doesn't work the door.

you are right taking the 1st 6 digits and ignoring the last 2 , but you must also reverse the code , so instead of cutting 433113 you needed to cut 311334 .

so with these , take the 1st 6 digits , then reverse them to get key

same process as when you cut va2 keys from code , always reverse the manufacturers key code to get actual cuts .

though far easier to use lishi , these pick and decode in a minute with the new v2 tool and give you correct cuts in order of machine entry .

il be interested to know if condor cuts these accurately on its jaw , as doesnt use an adaptor like others , did the wrong key you cut enter the lock smoothly ?

I thought it could be reversed so I tried that also but no joy. Although 311334 did enter the keyway a little further it was still nowhere near going in. I think it could be an issue with the Condor as the probe failed to detect the key on a number of occasions and wouldn't cut deep enough even with the depth settings increased, so i raised the key in the jaw and it seemed to cut at the correct depth but still didn't work in the door. Another possibility is as there is no stopper on the Condor that could of been the issue, maybe not lined up exactly where it should be, i've no idea why they didn't add a stopper to the Condor! It would be good to hear from any Condor users that have done these emergency blades.

i suspected this would be an issue on condor as the silca jaws uses clamp A with an adaptor that stops just short of the 2 stop .

im guessing it will be the spacing that is out a fraction as well as the depth of cut , the adapter on silca machine lifts the key to the correct height and stops it somewhere between the 1 and 2 stop .

the good news is once notified the condor people do tend to rectify their calibrations via later update , so easily fixable by them , they just need feedback .

you could always get a silca viper L adapter and use this stopping on the 2 stop on the condor jaw , it may rectify this in the short term until they fix the issue .

or order key pre cut from 3d for now
