Gonna fit a new compressor to a discovery 4 im wondering will it need coded to car or will it plug and play

Should just be plug and play. lots of sensors after that but nothing on the pump itself.

No need adaptation, just clear the old dtc, and it is donne m8/...

If your changing the compressor, they have been modded,, it will work without coding, but the make of compressor is programmed with JLR sdd to alter the running characteristics. that is the only programming needed, you should also change the control relay in underbonnet fusebox mate.

might be worth taking old compresser apart, if burnt out could be leaking air causing it to run on.

I aint MEATY jUSTY helped me out with a TSOP adapter ... I lost mine so borrowed a solder on adapter still no incorrection from me .. lol
