i have got a 07 vw touran changed key fob battery now remote won't work tried few guides off net but none seem to work

get diagnostic kit out!
pretty sure I've done these diagnostically -forget which people carrier is done only manually

haven't got any kit seen few guides which say can be done from car but none worked so far done my seat leon key by using car

also try rosstech. normally u need 2 keys for manual method

If just replaced battery, try unlocking with key then pushing button. Also, try turning the ignition on (no start) and pushing the unlock button then take it out and try. One of these two seem to work on most VAGs, else need vagcom or similar

remote work before you change battery ?

VW models, manual remote programming:
Open the driver's door window and then close the door,
Turn the ignition on,
Put the remote key in the door lock,
Turn it to the locked position and then press the lock button until the indicators flash or the siren chirps.
(This will only work if the comfort module has been configured to allow manual remote programming).

remote was working before battery change, now battery changed the little light flashes when button is pressed but nothing. post 6 method already tried will try post 8 method tomorrow, also had service done this week by normal mechanic not dealer asked him about key he said he tried to code it with whatever machine they used and said it didn't work. he told me transponder faulty need to buy a new one don't know if i believe him or not as key was working before battery change
