I am putting this topic up. Got body unit out of the car, did not find any pic mcu, but found motorola. 9s12dg256. Maybe because this Discovery 3 is build in 2005. I read motorola. Can anybody see any keys, or know what tool can make key from this dump? Thanks in advance.

The only thing I could help you with is PIC unlock, but unfortunately I don't know the algo for the key adding, never even seen this car in person,it is rare in my country.

thanks. I ordered key from dealer. One more question for locksmith guys. where is the chip (transponder) in this key? Is it separete one, or soldered on the circuit board, where buttons for central lock are? I just have stupid idea, maybe i did not lost this chip and something else happened.

PCF7941,remote onboard.
If key doesn't work maybe it dropped, you should check coil resistance, and resolder PCB.

thanks. I will recheck it tomorrow. My key readers did not see chip, As far as i remember from last time. Somehow i believed, that i lost chip out of it, because key was half opened- not glued well after battery replace. Does key reader needs to recognize this key or its not transmitting while not in lock?

its on the board for sure but if u want to add a chip for the car to get another key u can easily add a pcf7936 when u have one working key

Cloning Discovery3 key is not possible.Only way is to program spare key by OBD2.
