01 Lincoln Town Car shows - - - - instead of mileage

It shows mileage when its cold and then goes to dashes very quickly
Im about sure its not in the cluster but I haven't a clue as to where
The owner says the whole thing blacks out sometimes too

The ABS module..common problem for those cars. I fixed a few of them before.

is that one like the GMs that can be repaired?
Ive done several for Tahoes Suburbans etc

they all can be repaired but its knowing how to repair it..i never repair them only replace...its sealed
